MEETING MINUTES
Complaint Hearing
Wednesday, October 17, 2018
Real Property Tax Conference Room

CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Melvin Ventura called the meeting to order at 2:45 p.m.
Present were: Board Members Melvin Ventura, Wesley Takai, Grace Reinhard, Michael Hughes and
Nelson Harano; Deputies Corporation Counsel J Yoshimoto and Craig Masuda; and Real Property
Appeals Board Clerk Elizabeth ‘Nina’ Swain.
STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
There were no statements from the public.
COMPLAINT HEARING
Board was informed that no complaints were received for 2018. No one was in attendance for the
hearing. A call for questions was made.
Mr. Hughes moved to close the hearing. Seconded by Mr. Takai. A call for discussion was
made. Motion passed by a vote of 5:0.
OLD BUSINESS
No discussion held on old business.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Takai requested that Corporation Counsel provide information to the other Board
Members as to the purpose of the complaint hearing. Mr. Masuda responded and provided an
explanation as to the hearings requirements, purpose and the outcome.
