HomeMy WebLinkAboutPublic Notice for Annual PHA Plan for FY 2019PUBLIC NOTICE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I ANNUAL PHA PLAN for FISCAL YEAR 2019 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM Notice is hereby given that the Office of Housing and Community Development, Existing Housing Division pursuant to 42 USC § 1437c -1(i)(5) through 24 CFR § 903.23(e) will hold a public hearing on the County's proposed Public Housing Agency (PHA) Annual Plan for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019. The public hearing will be held on: 9:00 AM. Friday, March 22, 2019 Office of Housing and Community Development 1990 Kino'ole Street, Suite 104, Hilo -and by video conference - Office of Housing & Community Development West Hawai'i Civic Center 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway Building B., 2nd Floor Kailua — Kona, HI 96740 The public hearing will be conducted for the purpose of furnishing citizens with information on the status of the mission, goals and objectives of the 5 -year PHA plan that serve the need of low-income and very low-income families during the next year. The PHA Annual Plan provides details,out the agency's immediate operations, program participants, programs and services and strategyabfor handling operational concerns, participant concerns, programs and services for the upcoming fiscal year. All interested persons are invited to attend and to state their views on the proposed plan either orally or in writing. Written testimonies prior to the hearing would be appreciated. The OHCD will consider any comments and views expressed by citizens on the proposed PHA Plan and may modify the Plan if it deems appropriate. Public Comment Period The proposed PHA Annual Plan will be available for public review and comment from February 20, 2019 through March 22, 2019, at the Office of Housing and Community Development, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except holidays. The OHCD office locations are: Hilo: 1990 Kino'ole Street, Suite 105, Kona: West Hawaii Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Bldg B., 2nd Floor The Plan will also be available on-line at: http://www.hawaiicounty.gov/office-of-housing/ Citizens who wish to comment on the proposed plan may submit their comments in writing or by fax (959-9308) or by email (sec8info(c hawaiicountv,gov) to the OHCD by 4PM, April 8, 2019, in order for them to be considered. Citizens may also testify at the hearing on the above dates. Accommodations for persons with special needs and interpreters for non-English speaking citizens will be available at all public hearings and sessions upon written request 10 business days prior to the meeting date.
