Inouye, President Reeds Bay Resort Hotel, Ltd. Cell Phone 895 4646 HILO. HAWAII 96720 October 19, 201.8 SUBJECT: ::) -L _c This is a request to be on the agenda for the next agency meeting. --1 Dear Mr. Delima, As mentioned in my letter dated 8/29/18 a special meeting was held with Senator Kahele on 8/22/18 concerning Reeds Bay Resort Hotel, Ltd. and the contention was that since the approval of ''Tomorrow, Land Use Scenario 2" and the passage of Act 149 (SB 3058) there should no longer be any apparent reason or reasons for the further delay by DLNR for the consideration for a new lease extension. This letter is a following up to the request as in our previous letter dated 8/29/18 that the agency (BDHRA) offer a recommendation and support by way of a letter to DLNR on behalf of Reeds Bay Resort Hotel, Ltd. (RBRHL) in our efforts to get a new lease. I was very disappointed at the last meeting: (1) I was not informed that the meeting day was changed (2) I was called during meeting in progress, I had to rushed to the meeting, arrived, and was unaware of transpired discussions. (3) I was asked to speak. I had to speak impromptu and extemporaneously. (4) After the meeting I felt that RBRHL should have had better representation such as our Senator Kahele or an attorney as well as myself. However, perhaps I need to see the positive side of what the meeting had accomplished. I generally have good insight and understanding. There was a positive side and I believe perchance to have that view of the on goings which are the best direction to get that lease. This corporation is most appreciative of all the support possibly provided thus far by you and the agency board members of this Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency. It is respectfully requested that Reeds Bay Resort Hotel, Ltd. be on the agenda for the next agency's meeting.
