Hawaii County Dept. of Human Resources 03/01/2019 01:18:45 PM Salary Commission Page 2 March 7, 2019 VL Unfinished Business (for discussion and appropriate action) Review of existing compensation plan to include discussion and consideration on proposals for adjustments to future salaries of executives and elected officials beginning July 1, 2019. Discussion may include: A. Salary Commission's Plan, as amended, regarding a schedule concerning future salary adjustments (increases, decreases, or no change). The objective of the Plan is to secure the best available information toward considering and deciding on possible future salary adjustments by consulting and inviting the various County departments and board/commission representatives, including input and available information by the Department of Human Resources. B. Update by Human Resources Director William V. Brilhante, Jr., concerning collective bargaining agreements. C. Briefing by Human Resources Director William V. Brilhante, Jr., concerning private industry salary information. 2. Rules of the Salary Commission: Final decision by the Salary Commission re the proposed revisions/amendments to the Rules of the Salary Commission. (The Commission will consider all comments and materials before taking final action in its rulemaking proceeding today.) Note: The proposed revisions/amendments to the Rules were approved by the Salary Commission at its meeting held on January 24, 2019. Pursuant to §91-3, Hawaii Revised Statutes, a public hearing was scheduled and notice given (the hearing was scheduled for March 7, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at the Hilo Council Chambers with videoconferencing available at the Kona Council office).
