Kimo Alameda, Ph.D. Eveculive on AQim, Should we bring Case Management (CM) in-house? Kimo gave us a presentation with his reasons for proposing to do so in December 2018. The Advisory Committee had many questions about whether this change would be an improvement to CM, but was not sure if there were options given the compliance issue. We used our Area Plan Sub -Committee to investigate further, and started with our own questions: (1) What should be the main function of the Hawai'i County Office of Aging (HCOA), planning or service provider? (2) What are the problems we see with Case Management now? We will discuss the report and the full Committee will vote to approve or disapprove its recommendations. NEXT STEPS AND ADJOURNMENT If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code). A lobbyist means, "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of at- tempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging oth- ers to communicate with public officials." (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code.) Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of the County Clerk -Council, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
