RE: Discussion on Calling a Special Election for Charter Commission Proposals
Notice is hereby provided that the Charter Commission will be discussing the potential of
calling a special election prior to the November 3, 2020, General Election, for the
purpose of submitting proposals to amend the Hawai`i County Charter to the electorate
for approval.
Attached to this communication is a cost analysis provided by Pat Nakamoto, Hawai`i
County Elections Program Administrator.
I am placing this matter on the April 25, 2019, meeting agenda to allow for discussion
and public notice.

115,000 voters x0.20 per card = $23,000.00. 10% returned/reply
