DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY • COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />April 23, 2019 <br />Time: 11:15 a.m. <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br />345 KEKUANAO.A STREET, SUITE 20 • HILO, HAWAII 96720 <br />TELEPHONE (808) 961-8050 • FAX (808) 961-8657 <br />South Kona Water Outage <br />AFFECTED AREAS: NAPOOPOO, HONAUNAU, SOUTH KONA, HAWAII <br />This is a Department of Water Supply (DWS) message for Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 11:15 <br />a.m. <br />Due to unexpected repairs on the existing Keei "A" tank (South Kona), customers may <br />experience no water or low water pressure. Therefore, a Water Restriction has been issued <br />for the above mentioned affected area. <br />The following emergency water restrictions are in effect until repairs are completed: <br />1. Customers should restrict water usage to health and safety needs only (drinking, <br />cooking, and hygiene purposes only). <br />2. Irrigation activities should cease immediately. <br />Please kokua and limit water usage. Repairs to the tank are expected to be completed in <br />approximately four hours.
