Aloha, my name is Lee McIntosh and I live in Kau. I am submitting testimony regarding communication #45 that
advocates removing language that prevents more than a bare majority of membership on a board or commission from
belonging to one political party. This is NOT obsolete language! It protects our county by placing diverse individuals on a
board or commission in an attempt to prevent political partisanship. Our counties are structured in such a way to
remove partisan politics. We should not regress by removing these protections. I thank you for the opportunity to testify
and for considering my testimony.
