<br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />HEARING TRANSCRIPT <br />March 7, 2003 <br />A regularly advertised public hearing on the application of HKKANO RANCH, INC. <br />(REZ 02-029) was called to order at 9:29 a.m. in the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach <br />Hotel, Ballroom IV, 75-5660 Palani Road, North Kona, Hawai`i, with Vice Chairperson <br />Hannah Springer presiding. <br />PRESENT:Hannah SpringerABSENT & EXCUSED: Fred Galdones <br />Jeffrey McCallEarl Fujikawa <br />Geraldine M. GiffinFlorence Kubota <br />Aurelio Mina, Jr. <br />Francis Smith <br />Bill P. Thibadeau <br />Ivan Torigoe, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br />Christopher J. (REZ 02-029) Î Application for a Change <br />APPLICANT: <br />of Zone by changing the district classification from Single Family Residential (RS-15) <br />and Agricultural (A-1a) to Village Commercial (CV-10) for approximately 5.595 acres of <br />land. The property is located at the northeast corner of Mmalahoa Highway-Konawaena <br />School Road intersection, bordering a portion of the Konawaena High School site, <br />st <br />Kalukalu 1, South Kona, Hawai`i, TMK: 8-1-2:Portion of 40. <br />SPRINGER:Members, we are now on Agenda Item 2. The Applicant is <br />for a Change <br />Hkkano Ranch, Inc. The item is Rezoning 02-029. It is an application <br />of Zone by changing the district classification from Single Family Residential (RS-15) to <br />Agricultural (A-1a), sorry, and Agricultural (A-1a) to Village Commercial (CV-10) for <br />approximately 5.595 acres of land.
