Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Acting Chair Smith at 10:00 A.M., in <br />the Kona Council Chambers, West Hawaii Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole <br />Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. <br />The following were present and constituted a quorum: <br />Commissioners: Riley Smith, Acting Chair <br />Ronald Ibarra, Vice Chair <br />Doug Espejo, Commissioner <br />Laurisa Nishimoto, Commissioner <br />Paula Thomas, Commissioner <br />Absent and Excused: Dawn Raymond, Chair <br />Allen Salave`a, Commissioner <br />Jennifer Yadao, Commissioner <br />Brandon Gonzalez, Administrative Officer <br />Others Present: Gerald Takase, Director <br />Dakota Frenz, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br />Stacie Waltjen, Licensing Officer <br />Hau`oli Sayles, Commission Secretary <br />Smith: This meeting is being recorded, so speak loudly and clearly, one at a time so the <br />recording is clear.
