LEE AND SIU PING CHAN (SPP 06-000023) <br />1. <br />Special Permit to allow the establishment of a one-bedroom bed and breakfast operation <br />within an existing single-family dwelling situated on 1 acre of land within the State Land <br />Use Agricultural District. The property is located at the southwest corner of Makuu <br />th <br />Drive and 10 Avenue, Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision, Keaau, Puna, Hawaii, Tax <br />Map Key: 1-5-26:1. <br />APPLICANT: NANI MAU, INC. (LUC DOCKET NO. SP73-159) <br />2. <br />State Land Use Commission Docket No. SP73-159 allowed the establishment of the Nani <br />Mau Gardens complex, which included a maintenance building, on approximately 23 <br />acres of land within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The request is to allow the <br />conversion of the maintenance building into a charter school facility. The Nani Mau <br />Gardens complex is located along the north side of Makalika Street, Panaewa Farm Lots <br />Subdivision, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, Tax Map Key: 2-2-48: portion of 13. <br />APPLICANT: GUY NAKAO (REZ 06-000038) <br />3. <br />Change of Zone from an Agricultural 1-acre (A-1a) to a Neighborhood Commercial <br />20,000 square feet (CN-20) district for approximately 1.02 acres of land. The property is <br />located on the south side of Ponahawai Street approximately 1,000 feet east of the <br />Komohana Street - Ponahawai Street intersection, Ponahawai, South Hilo, Hawaii, Tax <br />MapKey:2-3-37:9. <br /> <br />
