This is most certainly NOT "an appropriate land
use pattern that would further benefit the general public," and it is not and "orderly"
development of our town.
You are opening the door for him to build FIVE housing units on a tiny plot of land
at the entrance to our town. As you state: Should this rezone be approved, the
applicants could potentially apply for multiple dwelling units for the subject
property.
Do the math, people: 35 units per acre: an acre is 43,560 sf, 7544 sf will allow him
5 units.
Can you not see that is the purpose of this whole "food truck" charade??
You are opening the door for him to put :"streetlights and traffic devices" at the
entrance to our town?
You are putting porta-potties at the entrance to the town? At King Kamehameha's
HOME??
You are putting unmarked parking for 50 cars a day at the entrance to our town?
You are allowing him to put in a commercial enterprise with NO SIDEWALKS?
The closest sidewalk is 630 feet away. Landscaping his lot will NOT stop people
parking across the street on Akom Pule. People will park and then walk along the
street to get into town. This is foolish and DANGEROUS.
You received "multiple written testimony in opposition." Did you receive ANY in
favor of this? Does anyone in town want this development??
This is dangerous for the public, horribly ugly for our town, and we vehemently
oppose changing the zoning of this parcel.
