<br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />MINUTES <br />December 7, 2006 <br />The Planning Commission met in regular session at 8:36 a.m. in the Hapuna Beach Prince <br />Hotel, Kamani Room, 62-100 Kaunaoa Drive, Kohala Coast, Hawaii, with Chairman C. <br />Kimo Alameda presiding. <br />PRESENT: C. Kimo Alameda ABSENT & EXCUSED: Fred Galdones <br />William Graham Allen Salavea <br /> Jeffrey McCall Andrew Iwashita <br /> Alvin Rho <br /> Rene’ Siracusa <br /> Rodney Watanabe <br />Ivan Torigoe, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br /> Chris Yuen, Planning Director <br /> Norman Hayashi, Planning Program Manager <br /> Phyllis Fujimoto, Staff Planner <br /> Jeff Darrow, Staff Planner <br />The Chair welcomed the Commissioners and the Staff. There was no one from the public <br />in attendance. <br />ELECTION OF The Commission took this item up at 8:36 a.m. with no one <br />2006 OFFICERS from the public in attendance. <br />Chair Alameda opened the nominations for the 2006 Officers. <br />It was moved by Commissioner Siracusa and seconded by Commissioner McCall that <br />Commissioner Graham be Chairman, Commissioner Alameda for First Vice Chairman and <br />Commissioner Watanabe for Second Vice Chairman. The motion was carried by voice <br />vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br />WORKSHOP FOR The Commission took this item up at 8:50 a.m. with no one <br />PLANNING from the public in attendance. <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />Discussion on procedures and process relating to Planning Commission matters <br />Director Yuen reported on the results of the Planning Commission actions to the County <br />Council on the Interim General Plan Amendments and rezoning applications. <br />1 <br /> <br />
