KAILUA VILLAGE DESIGN COMMISSION <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br /> MINUTES <br /> Meeting Date: October 25, 2022 <br /> Time: 2:04 p.m. <br /> Location: Live-stream online meeting, with the West Hawaii Civic Center, Planning <br /> Department Conference Room, Building E, 2nd Floor, 74-5044 Ane <br /> Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, as the in-person meeting site <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Commissioners Present: Shaun Roth, Jasmine Crusat, Palani Greenwell, <br /> Alayna Kilkuskie, Michaela Ikeuchi (from 2:14 p.m.), and <br /> Arne Werchick <br /> Absent and Excused: Ann Kern <br /> Office of the Corporation Counsel: Suzanna Tiapula, Esq. (Attorney for the Commission) <br /> Planning Department: Deanne Bugado (Planner), Rosalind Newlon (Planner), and <br /> Noriko Sauer(Commission Secretary) <br /> Applicants/Representatives: Phil Tinguely, Jason Dearinger, and Roger Lundstrom (Item <br /> 1), Mr. and Mrs. Samrit Ounyoung (Item 2), and Peter Piper <br /> and Jakob Barrientos (Item 3) <br /> A quorum was present. Chairman Roth reminded the Commissioners to keep their cameras on. <br /> Commissioner Greenwell made a disclosure that his draftsman was on the other side of the <br /> divider in his location[but not participating in the meeting]. <br /> Chairman Roth called the meeting to order at 2:04 p.m.; however, there was a technical issue <br /> with Commissioner Werchick's camera, which caused fewer than the quorum members to be <br /> visible on the screen. The issue was resolved in nine minutes. Confirming the quorum on the <br /> screen, Chairman Roth resumed the explanation of the Commission's duties and meeting <br /> procedure. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of August 23, 2022. <br /> At 2:14 p.m. Chairman Roth asked if there were any corrections to the minutes. No corrections <br /> were offered, and the minutes were approved as circulated. <br /> STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br /> Chairman Roth confirmed with Ms. Newlon that there were no statements from the public. <br /> 1 <br />
