<br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I <br />MINUTES <br />June 2, 2006 <br />The Planning Commission met in regular session at 9:05 a.m. in the County Building, <br />Councilroom – Room 201, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii, with Chairman C. Kimo <br />Alameda presiding. <br />PRESENT:C. Yuen, Planning Director <br />Norman Hayashi, Planning Program Manager <br />Phyllis Fujimoto, Staff Planner <br />Jeff Darrow, Staff Planner <br />The Chair introduced the Commissioners and staff to members of the public. <br />REZ 06-000039The Commission took this item up at 9:05 a.m. with <br />ALICE ADEE, M.D. approximately 3 people from the public in attendance. <br />WAIAKEA, <br />SOUTH HILO <br />APPLICANT: ALICE ADEE, M.D. (REZ 06-000039) <br />Change of Zone from a Single-Family Residential – 10,000 square feet (RS-10) to a <br />Residential-Commercial Mixed Use - 20,000 square feet (RCX-20) district for 20,438 <br />square feet of land. The property is located at the northwest intersection of Kinoole <br />Street and Olona Street, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-2-25:18. <br />Mr. Hayashi oriented the Commission and public of the subject and surrounding <br />properties on the location map and site plan, summarized the request, and noted the <br />Planning Director is recommending approval of the application with conditions. <br />The applicant, Dr. Alice Adee, and her representative, Sidney Fuke, were in attendance. <br />Mr. Fuke stated that applicant had no objections to the recommendation and proposed <br />conditions, with the exception to proposed Condition H regarding a drainage study prior <br />to submitting plans for plan approval.
