I know quite a few of my neighbors do this and it has never been a <br />problem or caused any issues. I am home all day and haven't noticed any additional traffic or <br />street parking from any visitors or guests. <br />I think the letter we recieved is fear mongering - it lists all the negative things but none of the <br />positive things....short term rentals and B & B services provides. <br />I think sharing your house is fine and would like to do the same as we have friends and family <br />that are doctors, veterinarians and veterinarian students and they stay here at our house and <br />sometimes they need housing short term and we do not have enough room at our house so if <br />they could stay at our neighbors, B & B house that would be ideal. As they donate their time <br />& professional services for events on the island example - medical support for Iron Man event <br />or the Animal Spay & Neuter clinics on the island ... I think these are good services the <br />visitors provide. We need more people to open their homes and hearts to good kind generous <br />professional people that want to visit and volunteer here in our community. <br />This is the Aloha spirit we believe in and one of the reasons we moved here. <br />A - "Akahai" meaning kindness <br />L - "Lokahi" meaning unity, harmony <br />O - "Oluolu" meaning agreeable, pleasantness <br />H - "Haahaa" meaning humility, modesty <br />A - "Ahonui" meaning patience, perseverance <br />LeeAnne & Evan Loney should be approved to have a B & B on their property.
