From: annakaleii <br /> To: W PCtesti mony <br /> Subject: PUNALU'U <br /> Date: Tuesday, March 5,2024 8:58:04 AM <br /> Good morning, <br /> This letter is regarding to opposing development at Punalu'u Beach. <br /> Our beach is already crowded.Our community is already getting bought out from mainlanders.We are not the city. <br /> We are a small rural community.We love our country living. <br /> Allowing development that is not coastal dependent in an already crowded area,within 200'of the high water mark <br /> puts people and facilities in danger from tsunami or fire,Irresponsible planning with huge <br /> liabilities.This is a fire prone area and again a huge risk with only one road in and out. <br /> I am demanding an Environmental Impact Study as the last one is over 20 years old!!! The impacts to the wildlife <br /> (Critical Habitat for Turtles,Marine life,Nene Geese,monk seals,coral.),the people,the ocean and the land will be <br /> significant and they MUST provide a new EIS for review before any approval is granted. <br /> Mahalo <br /> Sent from my iPhone <br />
