Based on the preceding, the CRC cited previously undocumented resources (Holualoa <br /> Trail and petroglyph) as well as other possible significant cultural and historic features not previously <br /> identified and is of the opinion that due to the historic and cultural significance of the property, the <br /> project will likely have a substantial impact on historic assets. <br /> Furthermore,the CRC recommended that the project area be preserved in perpetuity, however, if this <br /> is infeasible, the CRC recommends further documentation of lineal descendant and kama`a—ma <br /> knowledge of the natural and cultural resources of the project area, inclusive of trails. <br /> Finally, the CRC recommends that, in consultation with the community, the applicant amend the <br /> current devlopment plan to include larger open space areas that integrate and protect natural, <br /> historical, anc cultural features of the landscape.
