From: Clay Cullen
To: W PCtesti mono
Subject: Hope Diamond Ministries App#PL-SPP-2023-000058
Date: Wednesday,June 26, 2024 10:28:22 AM
Attention Chairman Dennis Lin-Windward Planning Commission,
My name is Clay Cullen and I am writing in favor of the application for Hope
Diamend Ministry. I became a member of the church after relocating to Oceanview in
June 2020 during the COVID outbreak. I have been involved in other ministries in
Kona for almost 25 years. When I was lead to the church after praying one day I
immediately new they had a heart for the Oceanview, Kau/ Naalehu community and
Big Island as a whole.
I became involved in many of the food distribution efforts for our community,
Halloween, Easter and Christmas outreaches for the children. We were able to still be
a blessing during these trying times during COVID while keeping protocols that were
in place. Almost everyone I spoke to at these events were totally grateful as it put
huge stresses on their lives and we could pray with them and make sure there almost
daily food needs were met.
We truly desire to serve this newly growing community and still do feeding
events for struggling families and elderly 3 to 4 times per week and also are involved
with other ministries reaching out to the entire Big Island. We also understand if there
are concerns in the neighborhood surrounding our church property we want to
address them as well.
Thank You for Your
Consideration with this Matter.
Clay Cullen
P.O. Box 7075
Oceanview,96737
