From: Truth and Fire Ministries
To: W PCtesti mono
Subject: Hope Dia-Mend Church Testimony
Date: Monday,July 1,2024 7:29:55 AM
Aloha,
We are writing on behalf of Pastor Pam Ako and Hope-Diamend Ministries.
We have known Pam and her church for 10 years. She has more than proven herself to be a
stand-up citizen. She and her late husband Lance Ako, have been an integral part of bettering
Kau District. They are know and loved by many in the community for their humanitarian work
driven by their faith.
In a time where the world seems to be full of dark, self-centered, self-serving people, Pam
Ako is the opposite. Her faith and the church have made it a priority to 'love the unlovable,
reach the unreachable, do the impossible' as is the churches motto. And they do just that.
They reach those who the community has deemed'throw-aways'. The ones nobody likes to
deal with.
Furthermore, they also feed at least one hundred families or more a week with their food
program. They are constantly giving back to the community and providing help both
physically and spiritually in the form of, food, clothing, prayer, financial help, funerals,
weddings, Easter programs, Christmas programs including gifts for the keki and much much
more!
To not allow her and her church to freely function which is her right(and illegal to not let her
do so)would be a massive disservice to Kau and grievous to the community in which she
greatly contributes. I don't know of anyone else in Oceanview, Na'alehu and the surrounding
area, who contributes as much as Hope-Diamend and Pam Ako. It would be utter foolishness
and to try to shut down an entity that is actually helping people in your community.
Nearsighted is the person who can't see the overall outcome. Which is, if Hope-Diamend is
able to reach the 'trouble makers' in the community and help change their lives. That means
less trouble and tax dollars spent towards criminals in your community. They are a GREAT
asset to Kau and beyond.
Sincerely,
Sage and Danah Theurer
