From: Tuberose
To: LPCtestimony
Subject: OPPOSE KAUPULEHU LAND LLC PL-SLU-2022-000008 AND PL-REZ-2022-000039- 1
Date: Monday,June 17,2024 1:49:11 AM
Attachments: County of Hawaii.docx
Aloha,
Please find attached(and below)letter from long-time Waimea residents,in opposition to the following proposals:
KAUPULEHU LAND LLC PL-SLU-2022-000008 AND PL-REZ-2022-000039
Sincerely,
Shannon Shively and Jason Shively
County of Hawaii
June 16, 2024
RE: OPPOSE KAUPULEHU LAND LLC PL-SLU-2022-000008 AND
PL-REZ-2022-000039
To Thom It May Concern,
My name is Shannon Shively and I reside in the small town of Kamuela,
HI; I OPPOSE all applications submitted by Kaupulehu Land LLC for the
re-zoning of Agricultural land to Commercial-use land, and the
development of that land Commercially.
do not believe we need, nor do I want additional Commercial space in
this small country-town of Waimea, especially at the entry to town where
the traffic risks are detrimental. In addition, I do not support re-zoning
Agricultural land into Commercial and/or smaller Residential lots. There
has been a frequent recurrence of Agricultural land being subjugated to
Commercial real estate developers lately, and this will only promote
additional loss of such land no longer being used for it's original
intended purpose, Agricultural land. With the recent advent of green
energy, the question that comes to my mind is how is turning well-
