<br />From:Ms. KristaJoan <br />To:LPCtestimony <br />Subject:Testimony: PL-USE-2024-000025 <br />Date:Monday, September 9, 2024 12:46:57 PM <br />Aloha, <br />Mahalo for the opportunity to provide testimony regarding the request made by Roger Jensen <br />"To Operate a Four (4) Bedroom Bed and Breakfast Establishment" at TMK: (3) 7-5-023:055, <br />North Kona Hawai'i. <br />I am 100% against approving a B&B in our quiet, safe neighborhood without some legal <br />guidelines regarding the following: <br />If our County's Planning Department permits this B&B, how many more B&B's will be <br />permitted? <br />How does a B&B help combat HI County's housing crisis? <br />How much vehicle traffic will be caused? <br />Where will vehicles park? <br />How much pedestrian traffic will be caused? <br />Since our neighborhood does not have sidewalks, what is the plan for increased pedestrian <br />traffic? <br />How much noise will be produced by this commercial business? <br />How will commercial noise impact our residential neighborhood? <br />Approval of this permit without guidelines about these valid questions would be a dangerous <br />precedent.
