In its stead, I support Council Member <br />Cindy Evans' proposed telecommunications ordinance, Bill 194. I find the new <br />ordinance proposed by the Planning Director is too sympathetic to the <br />telecommunications industry with not enough protections for our community, while <br />giving almost total power to Planning and Telecom with no other agencies or experts <br />involved. <br />Why has the approval process been shorten to only 30 days? Where are the <br />provisions to protect us against 5G small cells, especially when freely allowing towers <br />at schools, playgrounds and day care centers? <br />Please consider Evan’s Bill 194. which has clear, attainable requirements while <br />balancing the needs of the tech industry and the health, safety and welfare of the <br />people . <br />Mahalo for your attention, <br />Adriana E.
