Minutes <br /> Regular Meeting of the Pension Board <br /> November 27, 2023 <br /> Council Chambers, Hawaii County Building,Hilo, Hawaii <br /> CALL TO ORDER: The quarterly meeting of the Pension Board was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by <br /> Chair Lucas. <br /> ROLL CALL: <br /> Present: Walter Lucas, Chair <br /> Carol Ann Marumoto, Vice Chair <br /> Joyce Unoki, Member <br /> Also Present: Aaron Brown, Deputy County Clerk <br /> Jon Henricks, County Clerk, and Ex-Officio Secretary <br /> Kay Oshiro, Controller, Department of Finance <br /> Deanna Sako, Finance Director, and Ex-Officio Treasurer <br /> Elizabeth Strance, Corporation Counsel <br /> Linda Young, Payroll Specialist 11, Department of Finance <br /> Nicole Bello, Private Secretary, Office of the County Clerk <br /> STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS: (There were none) <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: November 28, 2022 <br /> Vice Chair Marumoto moved to approve the minutes of November 28, 2022. Seconded by Ms. Unoki. <br /> The motion to approve the minutes of November 28, 2022, was carried by the following vote: <br /> AYES: Board Member Unoki, Vice Chair Marumoto, and Chair Lucas—3. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Election of Officers (December 2023 —November 2024) <br /> Chair Lucas proceeded with the Election of Officers and asked for nominations for Chair for the <br /> upcoming year. <br /> Ms. Unoki made a motion to nominate Mr. Lucas as Chair of the Pension Board for an additional <br /> year. Seconded by Vice Chair Marumoto. <br /> The motion for Mr. Lucas as Chair was carried by the following vote: <br /> AYES: Board Member Unoki, Vice Chair Marumoto, and Chair Lucas—3. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
