From: Dale Messier <br /> To: LPCtestimonv <br /> Subject: Not on big island <br /> Date: Thursday,January 16,2025 9:10:21 AM <br /> West Hawai'i Civic Center <br /> 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Hwy. <br /> Kailua-Koa, HI 96740 <br /> ATTN: County Planning Dept. <br /> January 14, 2025 <br /> To Whom It May Concern, <br /> I am writing as a concerned local to testify against some of the alarming items being proposed <br /> in the Big Island General Plan 2045, scheduled to go before City Council in February 2025. <br /> The specifics I am against are as follows: <br /> -Against the laying of fiber cable in order to construct a Smart City. <br /> -Against rezoning land from residential to recreational, nature, and or otherwise. <br /> -Against deed alteration from original homeowner, even after transfer of property and or sale. <br /> -Against the State buying up locals property and or forced sale. <br /> -Against restriction of home development from buyers who already purchased land and <br /> forcing them to build in city center zoning. <br /> -Against forced driving electric vehicle by 2030 as proposed.
