<br />North Kohala Access Group Minutes <br />Meeting Notes <br />July 7, 2012 (Old Courthouse 4:30pm) <br />Participants: Toni Withington, Keith Wallis, Jake Polvi, Joe Carvalho, Aric Arakaki, Beth Robinson, <br />Ralph Galan, Mike Isaacs, Keone MacKillop, Jack Hoyt, Gail Byre, Oliver Lum, Ted Matsuda. <br />Hapu'u - Kapanaia <br />Pacific Plains <br /> <br />The County of Hawaii planning department has received the grant of easement <br />¶ <br />documents from Pacific Plains. <br />Hapu'u. <br /> <br />Charlie Anderson, land owner at Hapu’u, will be meeting with some members of <br />¶ <br />th <br />the community on Wednesday, July 8 at 5:00 pm to discuss fencing around <br />Hale ‘O Kaili Heiau. <br />Kauhola Lighthouse <br />A celebration was done and successful for the purchase of this area <br /> <br />They are still working on legal access on the ground. <br /> <br />Trust for Public Lands (TPL) is working on a management plan. <br /> <br />There are many different requirements because of the different grants. <br />¶ <br />Ainakea <br />The grant of easement has been submitted to the planning department and is supposed <br /> <br />to get approval from the county council. <br />We need an update from the County Planning Department. <br />¶ <br />Pahoa (Honomakau) <br />Nothing new to report. <br /> <br />Upolu Airport - East end of the runway <br />The grant of easement has been submitted to the planning department. <br /> <br />We need an update from the County Planning Department. <br />¶ <br />Upolu Airport Area Restoration <br />The plants have been delivered to Upolu airport maintenance area. <br /> <br />Ala Kaha Kai has a ROE with the state DOT. <br /> <br />Coast Guard Road <br />We need an update from County of Hawaii Planning Department. <br /> <br />Someone said that this road is still privately owned by the Federal Government <br />¶ <br />even though the County recently repaired it. <br />Puakea Bay Ranch <br />A letter is being drafted to realign the trail along the cliff on Lot 41and not wait until the <br /> <br />property has a new owner. <br />We will send it to the action committee to be forwarded to DLNR, Na Ala Hele, <br />¶ <br />Ala Kaha Kai, and the Planning Director <br /> <br />1 of 2 <br /> <br />
