<br />North Kohala Community Access Group <br />Meeting Notes <br />January 9, 2013 (Old Courthouse 4:30pm) <br />: Toni Withington, Keone Mackillop, Aric Arakaki, Jack Hoyt, Beth Robinson, Joe <br />Participants <br />Carvalho, Ted Matsuda. <br />Akoakao Pint (Bird Cave) <br />Nothing new to report <br />Hapu'u – Kapanaia <br />There was vandalism done to gates on Pratt Road in Halawa by the Kapanaia area. <br />Kauhola Lighthouse <br />There is ongoing public input taken for stewardship. <br />Halelua <br />Hawaii Island Land Trust will do a site visit sometime soon. <br />Upolu Airport - East end of the runway <br />There is a parcel of State land between the east end of the airport and Hoea Road. <br />We should find out to confirm if the state owns property west of Hoea Flats. <br />Upolu Airport Area Restoration <br />Nothing new report <br />Coast Guard Road <br />Nothing new to report. <br />Puakea Bay Ranch <br />The letter regarding the realignment of the trail was sent to Mr. Aila (the DLNR Director) <br />via the County Planning Director. <br />Ranch at Puakea <br />Nothing new to report. <br />Latitude 20 (Land south of Pao'o) <br />Is still listed for sale <br />. <br />Kohala Kai <br />We would like to have an update construction <br />Grant of easement documents <br />We will make a list for reference. <br />Old government roads and rail roads <br />Nothing new to report. <br />New Items <br />Pahoa <br />The old Mohamadi property has been sold <br />Kaiholena (south) <br />The Dorrance Family Foundation has donated $50k. <br />More funds will have to be made. <br />Next Meeting <br />Wednesday February 6, 2013, 4:30pm in the Old Bank of Hawaii Building. <br />
