WATER, PARKS &ROADS SUBCOMMITTEE: Meeting of 5/28/13 <br />5:00 P.M at Kohala Intergenerational Center Picnic Table Area <br />PRESENT: Toni Withington, Andi Longpre <br />1. Reviewed and passed the minutes of the April 18,2013 Subcommittee meeting; <br />2. Reviewed and edited letter to the DWS re: community water meeting of March <br />4,2013. We agreed that we want to inform the DWS of our concerns re:possible <br />health issues in the community that may be related to "spaghetti lines" such as (a) <br />the decrease in pressure and chlorine levels and (b) the increased risk of leaks due <br />to the "spaghetti lines ". <br />3. We tabled a discussion re: Emergency Road Access(Strategy 4.6) of the CDP until <br />our next meeting. <br />4. NEXT MEETING AGENDA: (A) Review the "Report on Polulu" meeting of August <br />2011 in order to prepare for an open community meeting to address safety issues at <br />Polulu. <br />(B) Confirm which agencies, such as Public Works, Dept of Transportation have <br />jurisdiction re: Polulu and Emergency Access Roads and invite representatives to a <br />Sub - committee meeting in preparation for a community meeting. <br />(C) Review Strategy 4.6 re: Emergency Road Access. <br />(C) NEXT MEETING: It was agreed that our meeting time would continue to be on <br />the last Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at the Intergenerational Ctr. On June 25tH. <br />
