Address needs of Senior Center,budget requests,new building,restroom,kitchen <br /> 2. Are there disadvantages to being included in the"Village Center'? <br /> 3. Are property taxes affected by a property zone change? <br /> Plan agenda for October 18th Community Meeting at Mountain View School <br /> Ideas were suggested for a format: <br /> 1. Explain the history and process of PCDP <br /> 2. Explain the work of the Action Committee <br /> 3. Origins of the Village Center Planning concept <br /> 4. Invitation to Community to participate the whatever extent possible <br /> 5. Without Community there is no plan <br /> 6. Still a question: do we start to define the area covered by the plan? Use maps? <br /> 7. What do you want to have in your village? Not have? <br /> 8. Invite Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd and Larry Brown and Robin Stetson to speak <br /> 9. Get contact info from community members. <br /> Brainstorm different ways to spread the word <br /> Every Door Direct Mailing,all customers at Mountain View Post Office <br /> Email announcements to everyone's email contact list <br /> Media: Tribune,Big Island Weekly,Big Island Chronicle,Volcano Newsletter,PunaWeb,Neighborhood Place of <br /> Puna,Subdivision email groups. <br /> Write informational articles for the newspapers. <br /> Mountain View School <br /> Library <br /> Mountain View Mini Mart/Gas Station/Vemas <br /> Mountain View Merchants <br /> Participants agreed to communicate to all their resources. <br /> Next planning Meeting: Tuesday,September 25t1,,5:30 at Fern Acres Community Association Meeting Room <br />
