MOUNTAIN VIEW VILLAGE PLANNING GROUP <br /> MEETING NOVEMBER 8,2012 <br /> Fern Acres Community Association Meeting Room, 6:00 pm <br /> Present: Blaise Caldeira, Dan Taylor, Susan Langer, Clyde Shiraki, Sarah Shiraki, Zendo Kern, <br /> Rebecca Ignacio, Donny Souza, Melissa Mulliken, Peggy Gentle, Frank Commendador, Mark <br /> Robertson, Nadine Robertson, Russell Rapoza, Patti Pinto <br /> The meeting focused on defining the area we are to consider. <br /> 1. Kukui Camp Road to Aketsuka Gardens <br /> 2. Kukui Camp Road to Glenwood <br /> 3. Issue of Hawaiian Acres being in Kurtistown zipcode, but parts of H.A. have closer access to <br /> Mountain View <br /> 4. Mountain View Zipcode <br /> 5. Mountain View, school and/or Police area <br /> 6. Consider including a corridor along the highway before and after Mountain View Village <br /> 7. Consider only the Village Center <br /> 8. Consider from Kulani to Pszyk Road <br /> 9. Consider all the way back to Stainback <br /> 10. Consider village center (both sides of highway) as main focus, with radiating circles of service <br /> area <br /> 11. Important to consider entire service area <br /> 12. Important to consider mainly the village center <br /> 13. Consider village center and define service areas <br /> *numbers do not indicate a priority and this list may not be absolutely complete <br /> After some discussion it became apparent that we need to have more information. Discussion about <br /> what information we should get and who would be able to work on getting it. <br /> Population and Census data for surrounding subdivisions and areas—Patti, Peggy,Nadine <br /> Water line service in Mountain View—Donny <br /> LUPAG map—Dan, Patti <br /> Police Service area—Blaise <br /> Flood Zones—Patti <br /> Questions about Village Center planning, zone changes, infrastructure were considered. Zendo was <br /> VERY helpful. It is essential that we understand that once we define our village center and if we <br /> include surrounding areas, and the plan is approved, that becomes the area available for growth. <br />
