The Subcommittee recommends that members of the advisory group include at least
one representative from each of Hawai’i County’s CDPs and a member of the Hawai’i County Traffic
Safety Committee.

The committee is also requesting that the qualifications for the study consultant include that he/she be
well versed in rural transit systems. The Subcommittee is currently researching websites to learn more
about rural transit systems and what are important focus points. Any useful information we find will be
gladly shared.

The PCDP Action Committee and its Mass Transit Subcommittee are willing to assist in any way possible
to move this important project forward. Mahalo for your consideration of this request.

Sincerely,

Patti Pinto, Chair
Puna Community Development Plan Action Committee

cc: Ms. Tiffany Kai, Mass Transit Administrator
Mr. Greggor Ilagan, Council Member, District 4
Hawai‘i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer
