<br />WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I <br />ACTIONS <br />AUGUST 6, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.APPLICANT: GLORY NANI MAU, LLC (Amend REZ 792) <br />Request for a 5-year extension of time to Condition B (secure Final Subdivision Approval) of <br />Change of Zone Ordinance No. 08-72, which rezoned the subject properties from an <br />Agricultural-3 acres (A-3a) and Agricultural-10 acres (A-10a) zoning districts to an <br />Agricultural-1 acre (A-1a) zoning district to accommodate a proposed 25-lot subdivision. <br />The project site is a part of the Nani Mau Gardens complex, bounded by Railroad Avenue, <br />Makalika Street and Awa Street within the Pana‛ewa Farm Lots Subdivision, Waiākea, South <br />Hilo, Hawai‛i, TMK: 2-2-048: portion of 013 and 093. <br /> <br />Favorable recommendation to the County Council with conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />2.APPLICANT: BWA LLC dba BOTANICAL WORLD ADVENTURES <br />(Amend SPP 04-005) <br />Request for a 5-year extension of time to Condition No. 2 (complete construction) and the <br />expansion of operating hours (Condition No. 3) of Special Permit No. 04-005, which allowed <br />for the construction of a visitor center, parking lot and related improvements on <br />approximately 154,010 square feet (3.53 acres) of land situated within the State Land Use <br />Agricultural District. The project site is part of the existing Botanical World Adventures <br />situated on the north side of Leopolino Road between Highway 19 and the Old Māmalahoa <br />Highway, Kamae‛e, North Hilo, Hawai‛i, TMK: 3-1-001: portion of 015. <br /> <br />Approved with conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of July 2, 2015 – Approved. <br /> <br />
