<br />PARKS,WATER & ROADS SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 25,2015(by <br />andi longpre) <br /> <br /> <br />Attendance: John Winter,Toni Withington,Faye Yates, Carter Collins and andi <br />longpre <br /> <br />PARKS: We held our meeting at Mahukona Park and talked with the Friends of the <br />Park(s). The Friends informed us of the damage done by the recent storms and <br />their efforts to clean up the Park. They had numerous recommendations as to how <br />to improve the Park to be more “user friendly”. <br /> <br />We agreed to contact Jason Armstrong , Public Relations, at Parks and Recreation to <br />set up a meeting with the Friends to discuss their recommendations . (e.g. some type <br />of covering on the slippery ladder at the pier to minimize accidents) Andi <br />contacted Jason re: a meeting in May. (As of this writing Jason has agreed to a <br />meeting in May and will invite the appropriate person from P&R. We will also have <br />one or more member of the Friends of the Park(s) from Kapa’a Park in attendance. <br /> <br />PRATT ROAD: We continue to receive responses to our January letter and will <br />review them at a later date and set up a meeting with landowners. <br /> <br />HISAOKA GYM: The materials have arrived and the repairs are forthcoming. <br /> <br />NEXT MEETING: April 29,5 p.m. at the Senior Ctr. <br />th <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
