<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF PARKS,WATER AND ROADS SUB-COMMITTEE <br /> <br />Attendance: Toni Withington,Carter Collins, Andi Longpre <br />(minutes by andi) <br /> <br />PRATT ROAD: The responses to our January 30 2015 letter to <br />th <br />landowners have been very low. We sent out 48 letters and have <br />7 responses in letter format and one via e-mail. We discussed <br />when we ought to plan a meeting with the landowners and are <br />looking at either August or October. <br /> <br /> <br />SOLAR MATTERS: Carter Collins reported on his presentations to <br />the Facilities Committee of PATH (April 11th)and to the North <br />Kohala Resource Ctr. (May 14). (This topic is related to Strategy <br />th <br />4.6: Improving Existing Roadway Systems,pg.79 of the North <br />Kohala CDP ) .The topic was the feasibility of a solar bike path <br />for use by various communities in our geographic area(s). Both <br />groups requested additional information from Carter and he will <br />report back to us when he has complied with those requests. <br /> <br />PARKS: We have invited Jason Armstrong,Public Information <br />Officer from Parks & Rec. to meet with us on June 18 prior to <br />th <br />the public meeting re: Mahukona Harbor. We have asked him to <br />also invite whomever he finds to be the most appropriate person <br />from his Department to discuss the suggestions we have from <br />the Friends of the Park(s). <br /> <br /> <br />NEXT MEETING: Our next meeting will be Thursday June 18 @ <br />th <br />3:30 p.m. at Minny’s Restaurant in Kapa’au. <br />
