The 20,000-square foot property is situated within the State Land Use <br />Agricultural District and located along the east side of Amepela Road, approximately 110 <br />feet south of its intersection with Lewa Lani Street in the Mark Twain Estates Subdivision in <br />Papohaku, Ka‘ū, Hawaiʽi, TMK: 9-4-007:003. <br /> <br />Approved with conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />2.APPLICANT: WATANABE FAMILY TRUST (REZ 15-198) <br />Application for a Change of Zone from an Agricultural-3 acres (A-3a) to a Residential and <br />Agricultural-1 acre (RA-1a) zoning district for 2.73 acres of land. The property is located <br />along the south side of Lama Street, approximately 500 feet west of the Railroad Avenue – <br />Lama Street intersection in the Pana‘ewa House Lots, Waiākea, South Hilo, Hawai‘i, <br />TMK: 2-2-051:003. <br /> <br />Favorable recommendation to the County Council with conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />3.INITIATOR: COUNTY COUNCIL INITIATED (Bill No. 102 Re: REZ 07-073) <br />A Bill amending Ordinance No. 10-110 (Applicant: Jin Soo and Ran Hui Iida), which <br />amended Ordinance No. 08-39, which originally reclassified lands from Single Family <br />Residential-10,000 square feet (RS-10) to Neighborhood Commercial-20,000 square feet <br />(CN-20) zoning district for 23,559 square feet of land. Bill No. 102 proposes the amendment <br />of Ordinance No. 10-110 by extending the deadline to submit required water commitment <br />payment and complete the proposed commercial development and eliminate various required <br />improvements to the Kinoʽole Street frontage of the subject property which is located along <br />the west side of Kīlauea Avenue, approximately 420 feet south of the Kīlauea Avenue- <br />Puainako Street intersection at Waiākea, South Hilo, Hawaiʽi, TMK: 2-2-004:121. <br /> <br />Postponed per the Planning Director’s request. <br /> <br /> <br />4.INITIATOR: PLANNING DIRECTOR <br />Designation of “redevelopment area” for that area encompassing properties along Banyan <br />Drive, Lihiwai Street and Kamehameha Avenue located within the Waiākea District of the <br />City of Hilo in accordance with Section 53-1, Hawaiʽi Revised Statutes regarding the <br />Hawaiʽi Redevelopment Agency as administered by the County of Hawaiʽi Planning <br />Department pursuant to Section 16-10 of the Hawaiʽi County Charter. Should this proposed <br />redevelopment area be so designated by the Windward Planning Commission, the Planning <br />Department may then undertake and carry out a redevelopment project(s) within all or any <br /> <br />
