PARKS, WATER AND ROADS SUB -COMMITTEE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 24,2016 <br />ATTENDANCE: John Winter, Carter Colllins and Andi Longpre (minutes by Andi) <br />EMERGENCY BY-PASS: USE OF PRATT ROAD: <br />We discussed the sub -committee's upcoming meeting in Hilo. Members of this sub- <br />committee will meet with the appropriate personnel of those departments that were <br />unable to attend our January 27th Forum re: Use of Pratt Rd. as an emergency by- <br />pass if Akoni Pule Highway is closed. As of this date, John Winter and Toni <br />Withington will attend and present our work to date. They will be asking the <br />various departments for their input as to how best implement the CDP mandate. <br />UPDATE FROM ACCESS SUB -COMMITTEE: Carter Collins informed us that on March <br />2,2016 the Access Sub -Committee will be hosting a presentation for SOLAR <br />MATTERS (a group that is working on solar powered bike paths). This group has <br />obtained their 5013C status and has received a letter of support from the National <br />Parks Service. We had a discussion as to how best approach our two sub- <br />committees working on such a joint venture. <br />NEXT MEETING: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30,2016: Senior Ctr. 5 p.m. <br />
