The following persons were present: <br />Action Committee: Elmer Solis, Farris Etterlee, June Conant, Larry Brown, Leila Kealoha, Patti Pinto, <br />and Susan Osborne. Frank Commendador was absent. <br />Staff. Hans Santiago — Puna CDP Project Manager and Keiko Mercado — Puna CDP Planning <br />Assistant. <br />Members of the public: 9 <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: NONE <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. Hans announced that the State Librarian, Stacey Aldrich, was still accepting feedback on <br />possible locations for the Puna Regional Library and reminded the Action Committee of their <br />previous decision to provide feedback as individuals. <br />2. Larry introduced three new Action Committee Members who will be starting their terms in <br />2017; Michael Bernard from Hawaiian Paradise Park, Teresa Reveira and Yumi Kawano both <br />from Volcano. <br />3. Larry announced that everyone was invited to a potluck after the meeting to thank the outgoing <br />Action Committee members and to welcome Michael, Teresa and Yumi. <br />PUBLIC TESTIMONY: None <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br />Elmer moved to approve the minutes of the September 13, 2016 meeting as submitted. Second by <br />Susan. The motion to approve the minutes as submitted passed with 6 votes aye, 0 votes nay, I vote to <br />abstain (Elmer). <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Update from Mass Transit Agency: <br />Hans shared an update he received from Tiffany Kai, Mass Transit Agency Administrator with <br />the Action Committee. A contract with SSFM International was executed on July 181h with a <br />total budget of $500,000. Currently the project team is reviewing requests for services, <br />complaints, suggestions and other pertinent communications.
