MEMO
NKCDP Action Committee
Growth Management Subcommittee
January 16, 2017
SUBJECT:
PLANNING DEPARTMENT APPLICATIONS REVIEW
At the subcommittee meeting held on January 2nd, we discussed the following recommendations.
Please share these with the Action Committee (AC):
1 - We would like the AC to formally request the Planning Director inform and include the CDP on
ALL applications to the Planning Department including Subdivision/Consolidation (PCRS)
applications. This past year we reviewed two PCRS applications that impacted density and one where
the property in question has special interest to the community. We don't want to miss these in the
future.
2 - Additionally, we would like the AC to formally request the Planning Director to include CDPs on
the automatic distribution of copies provided to the Planning Department. Typically, the Planning
Department will forward submitted copies to the various agencies. We want the CDP to be on that
distribution list. This cooperation facilitates our timely review.
Respectfully,
Jim Pedersen, PE
Subcommittee Chair
