Those attachments were inadvertently omitted from <br />your previous copy, and are key to a proper understanding of the Committee's recommendations <br />for future roadway construction projects in the Kona area. The enclosed copy now includes the <br />missing attachments. <br />The AC's letter, as enclosed, recommended three new CIP projects, or program items, to be <br />budgeted for design -only in FY 2017. In addition, the AC's letter expressed the Committee's <br />support for all ongoing and future projects of the County Department of Public Works for the Kona <br />area as listed and presented by the Department of Public Works at a community "forum" meeting <br />earlier in 2016. That DPW project list is copied and included with the subject AC letter as <br />"Attachment 2." Of particular interest is the inclusion of Ane Keohokalole Highway, Phase III in <br />that DPW project list. <br />The Committee's intent is to resolve preliminary and/or final design issues for the new roadways <br />recommended during the course of construction of the DPW's ongoing projects, so that these <br />recommended high priority future roadway projects could be financially undertaken as other <br />programmed projects (Attachment 2 listed items) are being completed. <br />www.cohplanningdept.com Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />planni ngAhawai icountygov <br />
