APPLICANT: HAWAII JOHNS INC. (SPP 09-000082) <br />Request to amend Special Permit No. 09-82, which allowed the temporary storage of <br />portable toilets, parking for employee and business vehicles and office use on an <br />approximately 1.65 -acre portion of a 4.033 -acre property within the State Land Use <br />Agricultural District. The amendment request seeks delete Condition No. 2, which placed <br />a 5 -year life on the Special Permit. The property is located at the southwest corner of <br />Highway 19 and Kal6pa Lower Road intersection, Kal6pa Homesteads, Hamakua, <br />Hawaii, TMK: 4-4-003:Portion of 050. <br />2. APPLICANT: KA `UMEKE KA`EO PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL <br />(USE 17-000071) <br />Application for a Use Permit to allow the establishment of a Hawaiian language charter <br />elementary school (grades K-2) for 100 students, six (6) teachers and four (4) operations <br />and support staff in an existing facility situated on 1.2042 acres of land within the <br />Industrial -Commercial Mixed Use - 20,000 square foot (MCX-20) zoned district. The <br />property is located at 313 Kuawa Street, which is on the northeast corner of Kalanikoa <br />Street and Kuawa Street, Waiakea, Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-2-032:024. <br />
