No. 2017-13 <br />November 2, 2017 <br />Among the proposed CIPS for 2017-18 is the following, Green Waste Facility at Haw! (Ka'auhuhu). <br />We'd like to reaffirm and underscore our support for a gr facility at the North Kohala <br />Transfer Station. Thanks to its soil and rai North Kohala nificant agricultural area and <br />produces quite a lot of green "waste." Beca o separate waste facility here, it is all <br />thrown in the transfer station chute. Greenw constitute ver ha hat is presently put in the <br />single chute and transported to the West Hawaii Land to the island's waste problems <br />and precluding its use here a . A greenWaste chute here solves two important problems: <br />the availability of mulch in K ducing the volume of the West Hawaii Landfill. We need a <br />fully functional chute and I -yd. con er for gre aste. We have repeatedly called for a greenwaste <br />facility here in order to address these pr lems. <br />Please prioritize funding for this much-needed facilites <br />Thank you for your consideral* in this matter.
