To be recognized, please fill out a yellow request form and submit it to Planning <br />Department Staff or the Action Committee Chairperson prior to the Public Comment portion of the <br />meeting. Comments should be limited to three (3) minutes in length per agenda item, subject to the <br />discretion of the Chair of the CDP Action Committee. <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: The Action Committee will consider the draft minutes of the <br />November 14, 2017 meeting. <br />BUSINESS: <br />1. Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Presentation: Laila Jayyousi, Soil <br />Conservationist with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources <br />Conservation Service will present information on the Pacific Islands Area NRCS Conservation <br />Programs. NRCS conservation programs help people reduce soil erosion, enhance water <br />supplies, improve water quality, increase wildlife habitat, and reduce damages caused by <br />floods and other natural disasters. The programs also provide funding opportunities for <br />agricultural producers and other landowners.
