4oJa4yOF y4�, Hawai"i County Community <br />:7 <br />•�r--- <br />Development Plans <br />'°re'oF •H�; <br />CDP 2017 Highlights <br />Six CDPs, One Island. 2017 was a busy year for the CDPs. The Planning Department welcomed a <br />new Planning Director, Michael Yee, in January 2017; the Long Range Planning Division initiated a <br />Team approach to provide more staff support for the CDPs; the Action Committees were actively <br />engaged in providing input into the General Plan Comprehensive Update process; and the CDP <br />Teams focused on developing a consistent framework to increase efficiencies and facilitate CDP <br />implementation. Here are some highlights from the year: <br />Ka'u CDP <br />We are pleased to announce that the Ka'u CDP was <br />adopted by ordinance on October 17th 2017! <br />Are you a Ka'u resident interested in serving your <br />community? Consider becoming an Action <br />Committee member to help implement the Ka'u <br />CDP! Become an Action <br />Committee (AC) Member to help guide and advocate implementation of your CDP. AC members <br />must be residents of their planning area, willing to commit to a term of up to four years, able to <br />attend monthly evening meetings as necessary, invest approximately 6-8 hours of work each <br />month, and agree to follow the operating guidelines of the committee.
