The Planning Department welcomed a new Planning Director, Michael Yee, in January 2017; the Long Range Planning Division initiated a Team approach to provide more staff support for the CDPs; the Action Committees were actively engaged in providing input into the General Plan Comprehensive Update process; and the CDP Teams focused on developing a consistent framework to increase efficiencies and facilitate CDP implementation. Here are some highlights from the year: Ka'u CDP We are pleased to announce that the Ka'u CDP was adopted by ordinance on October 17th 2017! Are you a Ka'u resident interested in serving your community? Consider becoming an Action Committee member to help implement the Ka'u CDP!
