Sundquist <br />Public: Jai Ho Cheng <br />A quorum was present, Chairman Shaun Roth called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. and the <br />Commissioners introduced themselves. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Minutes of the Meetings of August 7, 2018 and August 21, 2018. <br />Chairman Shaun Roth asked if there were any corrections to the minutes. No corrections were <br />offered and the minutes were approved as circulated. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />There was no one from the public who wished to testify on any items on the agenda at this time. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />1. The applicant, Lance C. Sundquist, has re-submitted a proposed new double family residence <br />located on Lamaokaola Street, which was previously reviewed by the Kailua Village Design <br />Commission on August 21, 2018 who identified a number of issues and requested the proposed <br />project be revised. The proposal includes the site plan for the construction of two new dwelling <br />units on an 8,152 square foot lot zoned Double-Family Residential (RD-3.75). The site plan <br />revisions include a reconfiguration of the parking spaces and the distance between two main <br />buildings; new color selection for the exterior; and changes to the landscaping. <br />Landowner: Enhua Chen and Lin Huizhu <br />TMK: (3) 7-5-022:096 <br />Location: 75-5753 Lamaokaola Street, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 <br />Staff planner, Rosalind Newlon, presented the resubmitted project for review by the Commissioners <br />with a power point presentation of the site plan, floor plan and elevations. Ms. Newlon pointed out <br />on the site plan that the first revision was to correct the distance between the two main buildings to 15 <br />feet, to be in compliance with the Zoning Code. She noted that the parking has been reconfigured to <br />have 3 parking spaces along the rear and one space by the buildings with a backup space and required <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
