WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />HEARING TRANSCRIPT <br />FEBRUARY 7, 2019 <br />A regularly advertised hearing on the application of PI'ILANI PARTNERS, LLC <br />(SMA 18-000070) was called to order at 11:19 a.m. in the County of Hawaii Aupuni Center <br />Conference Room, 101 Pauahi Street, Hilo, Hawaii with Chairman Joseph Clarkson presiding. <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Gilbert Aguinaldo, Joseph Clarkson, Donn Dela Cruz, Donald <br />Ikeda, John Replogle. <br />ABSENT & EXCUSED: Thomas Raffipiy. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Michael Yee (Planning Director) (to 2:29 p.m.), Malia Hall (Deputy <br />Corporation Counsel for the Windward Planning Commission), Jeff Darrow (Planning Program <br />Manager), Maija Jackson (Planner), Christian Kay (Planner), Alex Roy (Planner) (to 12 p.m.), <br />Jessica Andrews (Planner) (to 12:30 p.m.), and Sarah Hata-Finley (Commission Secretary). <br />And 15 members from the public in attendance. <br />APPLICANT: PI'ILANI PARTNERS, LLC (SMA 18-000070) <br />Continued hearing on an application for a Special Management Area Use Permit to develop a <br />potable water well and bottling facility with related improvements on a 2.5712 -acre parcel within <br />the Special Management Area. The subject property is located at 525 Pi`ilani Street, at the <br />northeastern corner of the Pi`ilani Street-Mililani Street intersection, Waiakea, South Hilo, <br />Hawaii, TMK: (3) 2-2-033:011. <br />CLARKSON: Okay, the next item on the agenda is carried over from a previous meeting. It's <br />an application from Pi`ilani Partners, LLC. At this time since the application has been ongoing <br />for a long time, I wanted to question Commissioner Dela Cruz as to whether you've had an <br />opportunity and have read the entire record since this is your first exposure to this application. <br />DELA CRUZ: Actually, this is my second, but I have read everything that I needed so far. <br />CLARKSON: Okay. <br />DELA CRUZ: All of the minutes and stuff Thank you. <br />CLARKSON: Thank you.
