Seconded by <br />Committee Member Ney. <br />The motion to add the presentation from Meredith Speicher to the meeting agenda passed with 5 votes <br />aye and 0 votes nay. (Committee Member Cackley was absent during the vote) <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. Chair Hoffmann announced that the pavilion at Mahukona Beach Park is considered to be in an <br />unsafe condition and is currently closed. He encouraged the community to get in touch with <br />the Department of Parks and Recreation as well as the Mayor's Office to let them know that <br />the community wants the facility reopened. <br />2. Chair Hoffmann also announced that there is a Board and Commission management training <br />offered from the County of Hawaii in Hilo on April 9 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Aupuni <br />Center Conference room.
