Securing a permanent home is essential for the students, their `ohana, <br /> and their staff,providing critical stability as they continue to rebuild. The rezone of this property <br /> from Ag 10 to Ag 5 will allow for the five acres to be subdivided and acquired by Ho`oulu <br /> Ldhui, the school's supporting non-profit organization. <br /> Ho`oulu Ldhui is awaiting congressionally directed funding submitted through Senator <br /> Mazie K. Hirono`s office at this time. If these funds are approved and allocated, they will <br /> provide the balance needed for the completion of this acquisition. My office has assisted Ms. <br /> Osborne with the application process, and I will continue to work towards ensuring they receive <br /> this vital federal support. <br /> I respectfully urge your full and fair consideration of this pending application under your <br /> review.
