However, commercial development in <br /> Volcano Village should take place in areas designated as "Moderate <br /> Density Urban" and "Village and Neighborhood Commercial" zoning, all of <br /> which already exist elsewhere in Volcano. Permitting this rezone request to <br /> move forward would set an undesirable precedent for adjoining <br /> landowners to also request rezoning to commercial status. As such, I <br /> respectfully request that the Windward Planning Commission deny this <br /> rezoning application. <br /> Mahalo nui loa for your consideration on this important matter. <br /> Zachary Mermel <br />
