COMMITTEE ON PLANNING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING DATE: August 11, 2008 (Monday) August 20, 2008 (Wednesday) TIME: 6:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. .PLACE; Sheraton Keauhou Bay Councilroom, Ben Franklin Resort and Spa Tower 78 -128 Ehukai Street 333 Kilauea Avenue, 2nd Floor Kailua-Kona, Hawaii Hilo, Hawaii Pursuant to HRS 92 -41, notice is hereby given that a public hearing of the County Council's Committee on Planning will be held to hear public testimony regarding Bill 324 (Comm. 1329), which amends the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), by adding a new Chapter 36 to the County Code entitled Impact Fees, which establishes the requirements and calendar for payment of impact fees by any impact -- generating development. Those wishing to testify in person must register with the County Clerk's staff. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring ! fteen ('I5) copies for distribution. Testimony may also be submitted (1) by mail to the County Clerk's Of! ce in Hilo at 25 Aupuni St., Hilo, Hawaii, 96720; (2) by facsimile to (808) 961 -8912; or (3) by e -mail to counciltestimony @co.hawaii. hi.us. For testimony received via e -mail or fax, copies will be distributed at the meeting when transmitted in a timely manner. All oral and written testimony will be made a part of the public record. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Hawai'i Revised Statutes (hereinafter "HRS ") § 92 -3.5, the Hawaii County Council Committee will be conducting their August 11 and 20, 2008 meeting via videoconference. Councilmembers will be present at the following locations: County Councilroom -Ben Franklin Tower, 2 "d Floor, 333 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo, HI (August 11th and 201H ) Sheraton Keaulhou Bay Resort and Spa, 78 -128 Ehukai Street, Kaiillua-Kona, HI (August 11 th only). Kona Council Office - Kaillua Trade Centers 75 -5706 Hanama Place, Suite 109, Kaiillua-Kona (August 201h only). Videoconferencing for public attendance is available at the following locations; Hilo Councilroom at the Ben Franklin Building, Second Floor (August 11 t" and 204 ); and Waimea Council Of? ce at the Holomua Center (August 114h and 20t"); and • Kona Council Of! ce at the Kailua Trade Center (August 20th only).
