<br />SOUTH KOHALA <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />ACTION COMMITTEE <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> <br />Held January 24, 2011 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the South Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee <br />was held on January 24, 2011. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mike Fischer, <br />at 5:00 p.m. at The Lilly Yoshimatsu Senior Center, 67-1199 Mamalahoa Highway, Waimea, <br />Hawaii, pursuant to notice. <br /> <br />The following members of the Committee were present when the meeting was called to <br />order: <br />Nancy Alvord <br />Mike Fischer <br />John Hoover <br />Robin Inaba <br />Leonard Librizzi <br />Jeannie Palermo <br />Achahn Schulze <br /> <br />Project Manager Allen Salavea also was in attendance. Committee member Margaret Horwatt <br />was not in attendance when the meeting was called to order. <br /> <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, noted that a quorum of the Committee was <br />present at the meeting, and noted that Recorder Judith Graham was not present. He then <br />welcomed Ms. Alvord as the new Co-Chair of the Committee and thanked Ms. Palermo for her <br />service in that position during the past year. <br /> <br />There were no statements from the public on agenda items. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Committee then approved the minutes of the <br />meeting of the Committee held on December 20, 2011, in the form distributed to the members in <br />advance of the meeting, subject to the modification suggested by Mr. Hoover correcting the <br />name of Hokuloa Church which is to be the location of the Committees meeting on March 28, <br />2011. <br /> <br />The next item on the agenda was the Committee Vacancy report, which was delivered by <br />Mr. Salavea. He advised the Committee that two persons have been designated for appointment <br />to the committee to fill the vacancies created by the departure of Committee member Fran Tabor <br />and the pending departure of Ms. Palermo, and he indicated that the nominations will come <br />before the County Council for confirmation in February. He also reported that applications for <br />persons seeking appointment to the Committee in 2012 will be accepted through March 11, <br />2011, and that information concerning applications is available on the Committee website. <br /> <br />Mr. Salavea then discussed the monthly Land Use Permit Activity Report, copies of <br />which had been delivered to the Committee members in advance of the meeting.
